These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made via this website and govern your use of our facilities. Please read them carefully before completing your booking. By proceeding with a reservation, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

1. About Us

Glenlough Campsite Limited ("we", "us", "our") operates Glenlough Campsite on the Isle of Man.

2. Season and Availability

Glenlough Campsite is open from the last weekend in March until the first weekend in October. We do not offer seasonal pitches or long-term stays.

3. Bookings

3.1 Making a Booking

Bookings can be made online at any time via www.glenloughcampsite.com. Telephone bookings are also available by calling 01624 852057, though during our closed period the office operates on reduced hours and may not always be available.

A booking is not confirmed until you receive a written confirmation from us by email.

3.2 Minimum Age

The lead booker must be aged 18 or over. All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a mature adult. We reserve the right to refuse entry if this requirement cannot be verified.

3.3 Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided at the time of booking is accurate, including the number of guests, vehicle type and size, and contact details.

3.4 Group Size

Your booking is valid only for the number of guests stated at the time of booking. Unapproved additional guests may be refused entry or asked to leave without refund.

3.5 Visitors

Guests are welcome to receive visits from friends and family. All visitors must park in the main car park, check in at reception during open hours, and indicate whom they are visiting. All visitors are required to leave the site before 21:00.

4. Accommodation and Pitches

We offer the following accommodation types:

  • Grass pitches
  • Grass pitches with electricity
  • Hardstanding pitches with electricity
  • Standard camping pods
  • Family camping pod

Pitches vary in size but are all large enough to accommodate a caravan or motorhome, an awning, and a car on the hardstanding area. We can accommodate units up to a maximum of 30ft, subject to the availability of larger pitches. If you have specific requirements, including for larger or twin-axle vehicles, please contact us before booking.

Guests on grass-only pitches may select any location within the camping field. Please allow a safe distance between tents.

It is advisable to book electric hook up pitches in advance to avoid disappointment.

All types of camping vehicle are accepted, including motorhomes, caravans, camper vans, trailer tents, and rooftop tents. Please note that caravans require a permit from the Isle of Man Government to be brought onto the Island. It is your responsibility to obtain this permit before travel.

Dogs are not permitted in the pods.

5. Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking. Pitch prices are displayed during the online booking process.

6. Cancellations and Amendments

6.1 Cancellation by You

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable). The following policy applies:

  • More than 8 weeks before arrival: full refund minus an administration cost of £20
  • 8 weeks or fewer before arrival: at the management's discretion

Transfers to alternative dates may be offered at the management's discretion. An administration fee of £10.00 may apply.

6.2 Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel your booking in exceptional circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather, site damage, or events constituting force majeure. In such cases, a full refund of all monies paid will be issued. We will not be liable for any additional costs you may incur, including travel or accommodation expenses.

7. Arrival and Departure

  • Check-in: from 1:00pm
  • Check-out: by 11:00am

Early check-in and late check-out may be possible subject to availability and must be confirmed with us in advance.

If you are delayed, please contact reception on 01624 852057 before arrival so that arrangements can be made. For calls after 19:00, please use the regular office number, and your call will be diverted to the marshal on duty.

8. Site Rules

All guests are expected to behave respectfully and in accordance with the following rules. By making a booking, you agree to comply with them.

Quiet hours Quiet hours are observed between 11:00pm and 6:00am. Noise must be kept to a minimum at all times, for the comfort of other guests and local residents.

Fires and barbecues Open fires are not permitted anywhere on the campsite. Gas and charcoal barbecues and fire pits are permitted but must be raised off the ground and must not be placed directly on decking, picnic benches, or grass. Fire pits must not be positioned too close to tents, caravans, pods, or any other structures. Please dispose of barbecues responsibly. Wood is not available for purchase on site but can be bought at the local garage in Union Mills.

Speed limit The on-site speed limit is 5mph at all times.

Motorised vehicles Recreational motorised vehicles, including scooters, ATVs, and motorbikes, are not permitted to be ridden around the campsite. Bike revving is not permitted.

Alcohol No person under the age of 18 may possess or consume alcoholic beverages on the campsite. Anyone consuming alcohol may be asked to produce valid identification and proof of age upon request.

Dogs Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome and may be brought on site free of charge, provided they are kept on a lead at all times and remain under control. Dogs are not permitted in the pods. During the TT fortnight, dogs are not allowed on the campsite.

Children All guests under the age of 18 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Parents and guardians are responsible for their children's behaviour on site.

Drones The use of drones or unmanned aerial vehicles on or above the site is not permitted without prior written consent.

Smoking Smoking and vaping are not permitted in any enclosed or covered area on site. Please be considerate of other guests when smoking outdoors.

Waste All waste must be disposed of using the facilities provided on site. Guests must leave their pitch in a clean and tidy condition upon departure.

9. Facilities

The following facilities are available to all guests:

  • Washrooms with toilets, showers, and deep sinks
  • Accessible toilet and shower room
  • Baby changing facilities
  • Laundry facilities (washing machine and tumble dryer)
  • Pitstop recreational room with TV area
  • Communal fridge and freezer
  • Device charging points
  • Free Wi-Fi throughout the site

Wi-Fi signal strength may vary across different areas of the site. Bandwidth and connection speeds are not guaranteed, as these depend on the number of users at any given time.

9.1 Accessibility

The campsite offers a fully accessible shower room with toilet. Please be aware that the terrain is gently sloping and many tracks are gravel, which may present difficulties for manual wheelchair users. A limited number of pitches are located closer to the shower block and may be more suitable for guests with mobility needs. Please enquire by phone or note your requirements in the special instructions section when booking online.

10. Liability

10.1 Personal Property

We accept no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to any personal property brought onto the site.

10.2 Personal Injury

We accept no liability for personal injury sustained on the campsite unless directly caused by our negligence.

10.3 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with your booking shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that booking.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other matter that cannot be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

11. Behaviour and Ejection

We reserve the right to ask any guest to leave the site immediately if, in the reasonable opinion of our staff, their behaviour is causing distress, harm, or nuisance to other guests or staff, or if they are in breach of these terms and conditions. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.

12. Complaints

If you experience any issues during your stay, please report them to a member of staff at reception during office hours, or speak to a warden outside of office hours. This ensures that concerns can be addressed and resolved promptly while you are on site.

13. Data Protection

We collect and process personal data in connection with your booking in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website. By making a booking, you consent to such processing for the purposes of managing your reservation and communicating with you about your stay.

We will not sell your data to third parties or use it for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

14. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Isle of Man. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Isle of Man.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The version published on our website at the time of your booking shall apply to that reservation.
